Week 30 of Pregnancy

Hello all! It’s time for a pregnancy update! Have you all noticed that the pregnancy updates have been coming just a little bit later each time? I feel like I’m getting further along in the pregnancy and less inclined to do extra things. Can anyone relate?

How I feel/slept

I’m feeling the drive to get the nursery done! I’ve been searching Craigslist for awhile for a white bookcase to put in the nursery, but we are getting down to the wire now (I feel at least). I want to just BUY a bookcase so I can start organizing all the clothes, etc. I have! I probably will just give Craigslist and garage sales one more week, then I’m going to the store to buy one! Any suggestions on where I can get a pretty well made cheap, tall bookcase?

Sleep – I’ve been waking up early again, sometimes because of back pain. Thankfully, some mornings I can take a nap from 9-10 in the morning if I’ve woken up too early.

Stats

Total weight gain/loss? I didn’t gain any weight this week. In fact I lost a pound, but then gained it back over the weekend. So, overall I’m still at an 18 pound weight gain. We will see what the midwife says and how my bump is measuring when I have my appointment on Wednesday.

Movement – Yep, still moving! I can feel her change positions sometimes, but it seems like she always goes back to the transverse position. Sigh.

Hunger/Cravings – Not so much lately. I just love to eat, especially all these goodies at my baby shower:

Best moment this week?

This week I had my first baby shower!! It was so much fun. My sisters and mom hosted the shower, and as I expected there was so much cute detail!! Isn’t the table above gorgeous?

I loved how the time went – we only played one game, but I received plenty of awesome notes for Baby Girl!!

And my guests painted a letter for my nursery in my colors!! (gray, pink, and yellow!)

My mom’s goal was to make me cry with her gift, and she succeeded!! It was an outfit that I wore when I was a baby. When I opened it, I immediately recognized it and started crying. This is just the beginning:

Wish I could show you all the wonderful gifts I received, but that would just take too long!!

What I am looking forward to

My next appointment with my midwife is this Wednesday!

Our little “June Bug’s” Growth

We’ve been taking photos since week 6 and showing a fruit or vegetable in the picture that is the same size as our little “June Bug”. Last week: our little girl was over 15 inches long (celery) and 2 1/2 pounds in weight. This week: 15.7 inches long and 3 1/2 pounds in weight (cabbage).
